Introduction to Auras
Are there times when you feel uncomfortable in crowded places? Are there moments when you feel as if your space is being invaded? Some people can only come so close to you. This is a reaction triggered by your aura.
Someone else’s aura may be intruding upon yours. For example, those times standing in grocery store lines and you feel that someone is too close. How do you know they are too close? Sometimes we can perceive this without even looking. We can feel the energy in our aura.
At times, you feel uneasy in the presence of a certain person. When you enter a room, you have this sense that something is wrong. The human aura is a strong electromagnetic field. We give off the electrical energy and absorb the magnetic one.
You can feel this energy force in a room full of people, where varying energies, positive and negative, are being interchanged.
The aura is an extension of our energies, be it strong or weak, fair or otherwise, light and bright or dull and dense. It is a band of energy that surrounds us, the life energy that can be sensed around every living thing, plants, trees, animals, birds, and people.
There are seven layers of the aura, but the most accessible to human perception is the first three layers surrounding the human body. Auras can be seen with their eyes wide open or they can also be seen psychically with their eyes closed.
Auras carry all of our energy. In a Reiki, I am clearing the used-up energy that is no longer serving you. The aura contains all the memories of places we’ve been, as well as our feelings about these places and situations. During a Reiki, I may ask a question to check out with you if you feel a certain way. Often, it’s something you felt in the past, but it’s over now. Then with that consciousness, it becomes easy to “sweep” the energy out of your field so that you never have to think about it again.
By releasing this energy, it won’t interfere with future decisions. The aura can become clouded in this way.
Auras contain information about our boundaries as well. If someone comes too close, you may need stronger personal boundaries. A strong aura is developed by deciding your boundaries and being firm in them. People will not come too close if they pick up signals that they are close enough.
An aura is something you can definitely “read”, and you do so all the time. We are always reading energy off from places, people, animals, and objects. An aura is different than just energy though. The aura is a vessel in which the energy is contained. Energy is everywhere, while an aura surrounds something or someone.
